Under the Business Immigration Program, there are two categories:

Self-Employed

This particular program requires unique skills at an international level where relevant experience, education, age, language abilities, and adaptability are essential to meet the criteria. Candidates need to be self-sufficient and capable of self-employment. Examples of self-employment are world-recognized athletes, international music composers, writers, performing artists, authors, sculptors, and other visual artists, etc.

Start-Up Visa

This program is of great interest to the Government of Canada. Companies interested in coming to Canada with an innovative idea, plan, or established business are welcome in this program. Designated organizations such as Capital & Private Equity Association National Angel Capital Organization and  Canadian Acceleration and Business Incubation Association can provide the funds necessary to start a business or develop an innovative idea.  These organizations approve the idea/business and provide a Support letter to initiate the immigration process.
